The Manor House was originally built as a residence before the Civil War. During the war it was used as a hospital. Afterwards it became a girls’ boarding school. It later returned as a private residence with a restaurant and lodging, known to many as the “Old Rodes Farm Inn.” The stately Manor House consists of a lovely parlor, three elegant dining spaces, office area, three bedrooms and two and a half baths. The chef’s eat-in-kitchen is a favorite gathering place. The lovely screened porch offers mountain views and a wood-burning fireplace. Enjoy the rocking chairs or swing on the original 40-foot covered front porch that is shaded by century-old magnolias. The first floor master suite offers a king bed. One upstairs bedroom offers a king bed and a twin bed. The other upper bedroom has two twins. In all, you can sleep seven in private accommodations.
